The story here tells the thrilling tale of a city that is forced to freeze its financial circulation channels.
The Siming Island police seized a massive amount of counterfeit currency. The challenge is that existing technology cannot identify these fake bills. Cheng Weifang, the provincial bureau's criminal investigation division head, and Xiao Lei, the city bureau's criminal police team leader, are tasked with solving the case. They discover that more counterfeit currency is hidden within the city, and if it were to leave Siming Island, the consequences would be unthinkable.
Meanwhile, Cheng Weifang sends investigator Shao Jingran to infiltrate Baolong Company to investigate its smuggling activities. Shao Jingran finds that Baolong Company is indeed connected to the counterfeit currency case. When the two clues converge, the police finally uncover the mastermind behind the counterfeit currency case—a Hong Kong businessman named Zhong Meiling, who appears in the city as an investor.
To prevent the counterfeit currency from spreading, the police intensify their efforts to develop methods for identifying the fake bills while coordinating with the city government. They then decisively order a freeze on the city's financial circulation channels. A thrilling battle unfolds within these seven days.
