Features: Since the publication of The Last Unicorn, it has been translated into over forty languages and has sold millions of copies. It has long been on par with J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and shines side by side in the history of Western fantasy literature. Even in the film industry, The Last Unicorn holds its own. When the film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, became a global sensation, the world-renowned Intercontinental Film Company immediately invested nearly 100 million US dollars to bring The Last Unicorn to the big screen. They coined the slogan: "Unicorn vs. The Ringbearer." If the charm of Harry Potter lies in its mystery and uniqueness, then the vitality of The Lord of the Rings lies in its enigma and depth, while the cuteness of The Last Unicorn lies in its excitement and beauty. With his masterful pen, author Peter S. Beagle presents us with a thrilling yet romantic and beautiful fantasy story, a fairy tale about youth and growth. As The New York Timesed, "Vivid, dazzling, imaginative, and radiant."
A solitary unicorn has lived peacefully in a beautiful forest. When she learns that she may be the world's last unicorn, she bravely leaves her familiar forest and embarks on a long journey to find her kind. Along the way, she and her human friends—a half-baked wizard and a warm-hearted thief—face countless dangers, getting trapped in the wizard and witch council, spending a night in the dark forest, and exploring the witch city. They encounter peril at every turn, risking their lives time and again.
This is a dangerous journey, a beautiful legend. It has become one of the greatest fantasy classics of the 20th century—The Last Unicorn.
