Features: "Myanmar-Chinese Translation Tutorial" is a translation textbook that integrates Myanmar-Chinese translation theory and mutual translation practice. The intended audience of this book is senior undergraduate students of universities and self-learners with a certain foundation in Myanmar language. "Myanmar-Chinese Translation Tutorial" is divided into two parts. The first part is the translation theory section. Taking Myanmar-Chinese translation as an example, it explains the basic theories and translation techniques in an accessible manner through detailed examples. The content includes translation, translation standards, types of translation, the process of translation, the qualities of a translator, and common translation techniques. Based on decades of practical experience in teaching translation, the author of this article, starting from the actual needs of students, focuses on introducing Myanmar-Chinese translation techniques. Through the analysis of examples, universal principles are summarized to guide translation practice. The second part is the translation practice section, divided into written translation and oral translation. The written translation section includes 32 Myanmar-Chinese translation exercises and 32 Chinese-Myanmar translation exercises; the oral translation section also includes 32 Myanmar-Chinese translation exercises and 32 Chinese-Myanmar translation exercises. These exercises highlight the principle of practicality, with rich content, up-to-date language, diverse forms, and a sense of the times, making them suitable for long-term use. However, due to space limitations, the quantity of exercises for each category is slightly insufficient. This book was co-authored by Zhang Tieying and Zhao Jin. Zhang Tieying is responsible for the first part, all the written translation exercises in the second part, and a portion of the oral translation exercises in the second part; Zhao Jin is responsible for the majority of the oral translation exercises. During the selection process of this book, strong support was received from the leadership of the Department of Asian and African Languages at Beijing Foreign Studies University.
