Features: Australia has a vast domestic market and a well-developed business sector, with first-class and affordable physical infrastructure. The nation boasts a high level of education among its citizens, excellent labor quality, and a stable political system. The Australian government encourages foreign investment. Therefore, for future investors, Australia is a highly attractive investment destination. Additionally, Australia offers a high quality of life. In 1997, a Hong Kong-based research firm, Political and Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC), invited 287 corporate executives residing in East Asian countries to compare the quality of life in 11 Pacific Rim countries. This survey included nine Asian countries, Australia, and the United States. The results showed that Australia is the country with the best living conditions and most livable environment, followed by Malaysia and Singapore. In terms of per capita water availability, Australia ranked first in hygiene standards, educational facilities, sports and leisure facilities, and housing conditions. The only areas where Australia did not rank first were personal safety (this metric ranked sixth, behind Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and mainland China) and nightlife quality (where the Philippines ranked first).
