Features: In Japan, general families can apply to provide about 10 months of feeding service for puppies intended to be guide dogs. These volunteers are known as puppy raisers. The puppies, growing up in a deep sense of love, not only fully experience human kindness but also develop a profound sense of trust in people. The puppies, along with the volunteer families they live with, go through many experiences and learn the behavioral norms of human society, gradually preparing themselves for harmonious coexistence with the blind. Afterward, they are sent to a guide dog training center. Once they are trained to become true guide dogs, they are considered to have truly graduated and can then join the side of the blind. In this way, the baton of life is passed on.
