Features: With the continuous deepening of China's reform and opening-up, foreign economic and trade relations have rapidly developed. Under this overall trend, economic and trade exchanges between China and Latin America and Spain have become increasingly frequent, making it urgent to have a comprehensive, up-to-date, and highly practical Chinese-Spanish economic and trade dictionary to meet the objective needs of the new era. This is the purpose and guiding principle behind the compilation of this dictionary.
This dictionary collects approximately 70,000 entries, covering fields such as economics, trade, finance, banking, transportation, customs, taxation, accounting, auditing, statistics, insurance, corporate management, labor relations, and social security. It also includes the names of major international organizations and Latin American institutions, as well as a selection of computer terminology. Additionally, three appendices are provided: Appendix I lists commonly used Spanish and English abbreviations in economic and trade literature; Appendix II and Appendix III present the Chinese-Spanish translations of the names of 500 major Latin American companies and 500 major Spanish companies, along with their business scope, assets, turnover, profits, and other basic data, arranged in alphabetical order by the original names for easy reference.
It can be said that this dictionary meets the demands for a comprehensive, up-to-date, and highly practical reference. Its publication fills a gap in the field of bilingual Chinese-Spanish dictionaries, providing a suitable tool for professionals both domestically and internationally who are proficient in Chinese and Spanish and are engaged in translation, teaching, and research.
This dictionary was completed under the care and strong support of the Latin American Research Institute. During the compilation process, the enthusiastic assistance of many colleagues from various departments of the institute was received, as well as support from the Spanish Embassy in China. Gratitude is extended to all in one go.
