Features: The picturesque Zhongnanhai, the location of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, is a place where leaders of the Party and the state often invite individuals from all walks of life to discuss national affairs. It is also where renowned calligraphers have formed deep friendships through ink and brush. Many famous calligraphers have wielded their brushes to express emotions, dedicating their carefully crafted works to Zhongnanhai and gifting them to former proletarian revolutionaries such as Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai. Zhongnanhai has become another hall preserving treasures of Chinese calligraphy art. Among these numerous works, there are masterpieces by the older generation of calligraphy artists, as well as powerful creations by middle-aged and young calligraphers. These calligraphic masterpieces, akin to the refined and noble, inspire awe and admiration at first glance. Their scripts are a harmonious collection of various styles—Running script, Cursive script, Clerical script, and Seal script—each displaying brilliance and diversity. Some works exude a profound ancient charm, with their vigorous and mellow strokes; others are round and flowing, with endless variations; some are simple yet majestic, with grandeur and beauty; and some are expansive and sharp, adorned with vibrant and diverse aesthetics. These works fully demonstrate the great achievements of Chinese traditional culture and also the glorious future of Chinese calligraphy art. To share the fragrance of these precious calligraphic treasures with the world and ensure their lasting legacy, we have meticulously curated and selected the finest pieces, compiling them into the "Zhongnanhai Collection of Calligraphy" series and publishing them for readers. We sincerely hope that this calligraphy collection will be cherished by calligraphers, critics, collectors, and enthusiasts both at home and abroad, allowing these invaluable ink works to shine even brighter.
