Features: The stories in the book are arranged chronologically, broadly divided into several periods such as the (Ancient Times), Xia, Shang, Western Zhou, Spring and Autumn, Warring States, and Qin and Han. During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, the political, military, and diplomatic struggles among the states were intricate and complex. We follow the original order of the Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji) in narrating each state, so some stories may appear out of chronological order. Similar phenomena occur in the Qin and Han sections. The characters, events, basic plots, and important details of each story in this book are derived from the original text of the Shiji, but some stories are supplemented with relevant content from ancient classics such as the Book of Documents (Shangshu), the Zuo Zhuan, and the Strategies of the Warring States to make the narrative more complete. Additionally, we have appropriately refined some details of historical stories to enhance their vividness.
