Features: This textbook is designed to meet the needs of clinical application-oriented talents in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), reflecting scientific rigor, advanced knowledge, conciseness, and practicality. Based on the previous edition, appropriate adjustments have been made:
1. This Internal Medicine textbook contains approximately 800,000 words, divided into 10 parts and 59 chapters. Some new chapters have been added, such as artificial cardiac pacing, cardiac electrical cardioversion, and interventional treatment of cardiovascular diseases, while outdated infectious diseases have been removed, with their relevant content incorporated into the differential diagnosis of epidemic encephalomyelitis.
2. Each chapter has been updated and enriched to varying degrees, including conditions such as bronchial asthma, hypertension, peptic ulcer, nephrotic syndrome, and aplastic anemia.
3. For certain systems, one core disease is selected for detailed discussion, such as heart failure, peptic ulcer, and nephrotic syndrome, with the intention of promoting broader understanding. Repetitive content in related diseases is summarized concisely.
4. With the advancement of medicine, many terms and definitions in relevant chapters have been revised accordingly.
5. Drug names follow the official Chinese pharmaceutical names and are cross-referenced with New Pharmacology. Some are accompanied by English names upon first occurrence.
6. Given that many TCM textbooks, particularly Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine, already contain extensive content on the TCM diagnosis and treatment of internal diseases, this textbook does not repeat such information. The book emphasizes the integration of fundamental theory and clinical practice, providing detailed introductions to the concepts, etiology and pathogenesis, pathology, clinical manifestations, complications, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of 59 disease conditions.
