Features: Unigraphics (UG) is the leading product of UGS Company and one of the most widely used integrated software systems for computer-aided design, manufacturing, and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE) globally. It is used by users worldwide and is widely applied in product design, manufacturing, and analysis across various industries such as machinery, automotive, aviation, electrical appliances, and chemical engineering. This book introduces the main content of the UG design part, covering the entire design process from part modeling, assembly modeling, to automatically generating flat engineering drawings. It is written based on our years of experience in applying and training UG systems, targeting the latest version (UG NX, commonly referred to as version 19). It can serve as a textbook for college and vocational school students, especially those in higher vocational and technical schools, as a UG training manual, and as an ideal self-study reference book for designers and engineers using UG. Considering the language differences and to better understand the software's original intent, we describe it using the English user interface and provide corresponding Chinese explanations. Readers can also use the Chinese user interface, and there will be no inconsistencies in the interface that affect learning. This book is a companion to the book "UG NX Basics and Applications Tutorial" and serves as a supplement and improvement. The content is mostly new, but the style remains consistent. The book covers the three main parts of product design: product part modeling, product assembly modeling, and product engineering drawing generation, divided into six parts. At the beginning of each part, there is an introduction to "Main Content" and "Reading Assistance" to give readers a general understanding of the part's content. When describing specific UG functions, this book mostly follows the format and order of "Function Selection," "Function," "Parameters," "Operation Steps," "Examples," and "Notes," which is very convenient for beginners and self-learners. Based on actual situations, one or more comprehensive examples are provided at the end of each chapter or part, mainly introducing design ideas, method comparisons, and design steps to enhance readers' comprehensive application skills for the chapter (part). The content of the book is organized by functional modules, but the advanced parametric modeling in the third part is a comprehensive application of part modeling and assembly modeling. Whenever possible, more graphics or tables are used to explain, with less descriptive language, making the content both easy to understand and not overly lengthy. All the examples in the book, as well as the model files referenced in the examples, are provided to readers in the form of CD files. The operation processes of the comprehensive examples are also provided to readers in the form of animation files. This book is an ideal self-study reference for designers and engineers who wish to conduct in-depth research and application of UG, and it can also serve as a textbook and reference book for universities, vocational schools, and social training institutions.
