Features: After the Inner Mongolia Art College was merged into Tsinghua University, it was renamed the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Its teaching philosophy and emphasis on student recruitment have continued the tradition of Tsinghua. In recent years, it has developed nearly ten student recruitment bases and preparatory bases in key high schools across the country. In recent years, some recruitment bases have invited lectures and provided focused guidance to senior high school students in courses such as sketching, quick sketches, and color painting. Unlike general teaching materials, this book features most of the works, except for the named works, which are drawn by the authors before the students take the exam, making it more convincing.
When painting in color, the first thing to focus on is the cultivation of (shape quality) and color perception ability. The essence of color painting lies in using color language to shape forms. From a certain perspective, color serves to highlight shapes, while shapes are the foundation. Only by leveraging this solid and powerful foundation can we create a space for beauty. The strong combination of the two is something that cannot be ignored. Accurate shaping often determines the success of a work, and this is particularly important in training before the college entrance examination.
To achieve perfect and accurate shaping, we believe the following aspects should be considered: When composing, pay attention to the relationships between objects. Generally, focus on the central part of the picture, while allowing other areas to be more relaxed. In terms of color, if the main subject is dark, the background should be slightly lighter. Conversely, if the main subject is bright, the background should be slightly darker. Only by doing this can you grasp the overall picture and make the effect more prominent, truly achieving the effect of "prioritizing the whole over the parts."
