Diderot's Biography

Author: Andre Biy
Publisher:
Publish Date: 1995-09-01
Features: The most outstanding feature of the author's biography is the detailed historical materials and vivid language, which reveal considerable artistic appeal in character portrayal. This book is the earliest specialized work in this field, yet it already shows remarkable talent, foreshadowing even greater achievements. Among Diderot's various biographies, this is a commendable part. The book does not depict Diderot's life in a fictional style; the author merely strives to make the narration more engaging, as the thoughts and image of this philosopher remain vivid even a century and a half later today.
