Features: This book is a tool manual and a revised version of the "Handbook of Radioisotopes" published by Science Press in 1979. The nuclear parameters provided in this book are primarily derived from the internationally evaluated nuclear structure database, reviewed by experts, and reflect the latest research findings. The data are new and authoritative. The book consists of 4 chapters and 4 appendices. Chapter 1 is a collection of important formulas, including calculation formulas for radioactive nuclide decay, the time to reach the maximum activity of daughter nuclides in radioactive nuclide generators, the relationship between activity and mass of radioactive nuclides, exposure rate constants, production yields of radioactive nuclides in reactors and accelerators, and internal exposure absorbed dose. Chapter 2 introduces the International System of Units (SI) and legal metrological units, while also listing conversion factors for commonly used non-legal metrological units, as well as the relationships between incorrect or inappropriate symbols, names, and their correct counterparts. Chapter 3 provides important data in the production and application of radioactive nuclides; including the production yields of radioactive nuclides in accelerator spallation production, cumulative yields of various nuclides induced by thermal neutrons and fission spectrum neutrons in 235U and 239Pu fission, mutation doses for plant radiation breeding, radiation preservation doses for food, and commonly used data for pest control. Chapter 4 is an isotope table, which provides half-lives or natural abundances of stable nuclides, nuclear reaction cross-sections, decay types and branching ratios, particle energies and their absolute intensities, gamma-ray or X-ray energies and their absolute intensities, and generation methods for over 2,500 nuclides. The appendices provide standard source data for calibrating gamma-ray and alpha-ray energy and intensity, as well as fundamental physical constants and the periodic table. This manual can be used by scientists and engineers engaged in research, production, and application of radioactive nuclides, as well as by educators and those working in nuclear science and technology for reference.
