Features: Trigeminal neuralgia is a common and frequently occurring severe pain disorder in the facial area, which significantly affects patients' lives, work, and studies, posing a great threat to public health. During attacks, the pain is unbearable, and some patients even develop suicidal thoughts, as is sometimes reported. In clinical and teaching practice, the editors felt that there were not enough systematic references on trigeminal neuralgia, and some existing ones were outdated. Therefore, based on years of clinical experience and research achievements, and building upon the book "Trigeminal Neuralgia" written by Professor Liu Xuekuan, while also referring to relevant domestic and international materials, the book "Trigeminal Neuralgia" was compiled through collective wisdom and efforts to serve as a reference for physicians, teachers, and medical students. The book is divided into 11 chapters, with a focus on elaborating on the clinical manifestations of head, neck, and masticatory facial syndromes, enabling readers to understand the causes, nature, and causal relationships of pain, and to address the condition accordingly. Additionally, it briefly introduces the prevention and management of complications that may occur during various treatments. It also describes preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care related to different treatments, which is a distinctive feature of the book. The book is accompanied by over 100 illustrations, making it rich in both text and visuals.
