Can a child with severe fever get injections on both sides of the forehead?

Patient's question:

I don't know what's going on, but my child has been misbehaving and crying non-stop recently. Even the hospital check-up didn't help. Could you please tell me if it's okay to give injections on both sides of the forehead if the child has a high fever?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, it is recommended not to exceed 38 degrees Celsius, as medication is not necessary. Physical cooling methods can be used, such as applying alcohol to the body and washing the face and forehead with warm water. If the temperature exceeds 38 degrees Celsius, ibuprofen suspension or naproxen can usually be taken. There are many causes of respiratory diseases in children. If a child is confirmed to have a respiratory system issue, parents need to cooperate with the doctor for immediate treatment, including gastrointestinal decompression, and develop good hygiene habits. The child should have a balanced diet and avoid stimulating and cold foods.
