In Yunhai, if someone didn't join "Dagongjia," they had no "power" to counterfeit. The local anti-counterfeiting team had completely become a "protective umbrella" for Ye Shuigen and Jia Ting's group, with every competitor they targeted being dismantled. The more "counterfeiting" was fought, the deeper it went, yet the more powerful the counterfeit group became, gradually forming a counterfeit "oligopoly" with deep roots. The situation of counterfeiting in Yunhai worsened severely, attracting attention from the central government. Cheng Dalin, the tobacco bureau chief of Lide City, was originally an assistant deputy mayor specializing in anti-counterfeiting and had been dealing with counterfeiters for over a decade. Under the central government's order for a thorough investigation, a new wave of anti-counterfeiting storms swept across Yunhai and spread to the southeastern coastal areas of China. The Ministry of Public Security, the National Tobacco Administration, and the Armed Police Corps jointly formed an anti-counterfeiting team, repeatedly "dropping in" Yunhai to launch surprise raids on counterfeit production bases. From this point, the novel unfolds across three threads: a series of thrilling struggles between anti-counterfeiting and fake anti-counterfeiting, arrests and smuggling, unfold; a series of games of sexual transactions and emotional exchanges play out; and a series of bribery, corruption, and the sale of officials expose themselves.
