Features: This dictionary was published by our library in 1960 as the only Vietnamese-Chinese bilingual dictionary in China at that time. It met the basic needs of readers for a considerable period. It is self-evident that today, over thirty years later, this dictionary has become outdated, and our library is currently organizing the compilation of a larger and more updated Vietnamese-Chinese dictionary. However, due to its concise compilation method and several other features, some colleagues still continuously write letters and visit to request the reprinting of this book. This dictionary contains over 65,000 entries, including Vietnamese words, compound words, idioms, colloquialisms, and loanwords. Most of the entries are based on common and various dialectal vocabulary. For those with different pronunciations in the old and new phonetic systems or between northern and southern dialects that are currently not unified, they are listed separately as two variants and annotated one by one.
