Do you have complications with mental retardation?

Patient's question:

I never interacted with or played with the people around me since I was young. Sometimes when family members spoke to me, I would just agree without understanding, as my mind couldn't process it. I couldn't even explain what I wanted to do, my mind was just blank. I would never memorize the multiplication table, and others called me a mentally retarded child, which I didn't understand. What kind of help do I need: Do mentally retarded people have complications?
