What kind of help is needed: What are the symptoms of dwarfism?

Doctor's answer:

Chondrodysplasia is the most common form of congenital dwarfism, a growth and development disorder characterized by a defect in cartilage ossification while membranous ossification is normal. It is an autosomal dominant genetic disease, with over 80% of cases being sporadic. The signs are already very prominent at birth, with dwarfism being the most significant feature. Typical cases exhibit asymmetry in body proportions, primarily with short limbs, especially the arms and thighs, while the trunk remains relatively normal. The head is large, the face is wide, the forehead and bilateral parietal bones are broad, and the middle and fifth fingers diverge, forming a "V" shape, known as "trident hand." The lower limbs are bowed, but intelligence is normal. Adults reach a final height, with statistics showing males measuring 112–136 cm and females measuring 112–136 cm.
