Patient's question:
My child has been feeling a bit unwell since yesterday. The child's stomach makes gurgling sounds, and I'm worried that the child might feel nauseous and vomit due to catching a cold. I want to understand what the symptoms of nausea and vomiting are.The help I hope to receive: What are the symptoms of diarrhea in infants and young children?
Doctor's answer:
Mostly caused by dietary factors or extraintestinal infections, or introduced by intestinal viruses or non-epidemic bacteria. Primarily gastrointestinal symptoms, with daily bowel movements usually less than 10 times, rarely reaching more than a dozen, and each bowel movement is not very large, thin or watery, yellow in color, with an acid odor, often containing white or yellowish-white curds (soap-like lumps) and foam, which may be mixed with a small amount of mucus. Generally no fever or only low-grade fever, accompanied by loss of appetite, occasional leakage of milk or dry vomiting, no significant systemic symptoms, good spirits, no dehydration symptoms, and usually recover completely within a few months.
