Can this situation receive a vaccine?

Patient's question:

My baby is a premature low birth weight infant. When he was hospitalized in an incubator, the doctor said he couldn't get the DTP vaccine. Now he is already 2 years old and developing well. Can he get the DTP vaccine now?

Doctor's answer:

The current immunization program in our country stipulates that newborns should start receiving the first dose of the DTP vaccine at 3 full months after birth, followed by 3 consecutive doses, with the minimum interval between each dose being no less than 28 days. At 1.5 to 2 years of age, a booster dose of the DTP vaccine should be administered. At 7 years of age, a booster dose of either purified diphtheria vaccine or purified DTP combination vaccine should be given. Adsorbed DTP vaccine is administered via intramuscular injection, with the injection site being the deltoid muscle attachment on the outer side of the upper arm or the outer upper one-quarter of the buttock.
