Is stuttering correctable?

Patient's question:

Had a slight stutter since childhood. Out of ten sentences, three or four would have a stutter. Recently, it has gotten worse. Every sentence has a stutter. Sometimes I can't even finish a sentence.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, stuttering is not an illness; it is mainly formed due to psychological tension and incorrect speaking habits developed later in life.
For the treatment of stuttering, it cannot rely on medications or other treatments. The key is to undergo psychological therapy, language training, breathing therapy, public speaking training, and the reshaping of a positive personality. Do not be self-conscious; communicate more with others, engage more with society, and practice tongue twisters, recitations, and the coordination of airflow and pronunciation. Adjust your mindset and emotions with positive thoughts. Maintain a positive, optimistic, confident, and upward attitude. Alternatively, correct exercises can be performed under the guidance of a professional doctor.
