Patient's question:
The child is now in kindergarten, and the teacher has reported that the child is always restless. She suggested taking the child to the hospital for a check-up, fearing it might be attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I am quite busy with work, so is there any good method to test at home? Can the ADHD test accurately and thoroughly check it out?Doctor's answer:
It's still better to go to the hospital for the examination of ADHD in children, and then have the doctor provide systematic treatment. The child's ADHD condition is somewhat severe, such as difficulty sitting still in quiet settings, constant physical movement, tendency to easily become agitated and feel guilty, needing immediate gratification, otherwise experiencing emotional irritability, excessive talkativeness, and inability to remain calm. Although there are no intellectual issues, they cannot engage in normal learning activities, etc.
