What to do about precociousness?

Patient's question:

My daughter is 15 years old. She had her first period in July last year. In November last year, she didn't come back all night after a class reunion. Everyone loves to play with her. I originally thought she was just young and popular, but I didn't expect to find out one day that she was in a relationship. Is this precocious puberty?

Doctor's answer:

At the age of 15, one has already entered puberty and develops feelings for the opposite sex. This is not considered precocious puberty. Precocious puberty refers to the early onset of menstruation or the premature development of breasts. However, if a 15-year-old has already started menstruating and develops feelings for the opposite sex again, this does not qualify as precocious puberty. Nowadays, some children as young as 14 or 15 have already had sexual experiences.
