How is the post-stroke facial paralysis treated?

Patient's question:

A 6-month-old baby cannot lift their head, can roll over, has a normal appetite, and shows no significant abnormalities, but sometimes they experience tremors. How is Bell's palsy treated?

Doctor's answer:

The sequelae of facial paralysis are primarily characterized by symptoms such as crooked mouth corners, inability to close eyes properly, facial numbness, and others. Treatment mainly focuses on nourishing the nerves, and acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy can be combined when necessary. There aren't many other effective methods, or one could perform facial exercises by rubbing the face with oil and exerting forceful movements at night—doing this three to six times a day can be beneficial. Maintaining a regular schedule, actively participating in physical exercise, regulating physical and mental health, and keeping personal hygiene are also important.
