Especially at the turn of the century today, the reality of China's socialist construction has profoundly demonstrated that civil law plays an extremely important role in building a socialist market economy, regulating market transaction order, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of civil subjects. Precisely for this reason, people's attention to civil law has never been as keen as it is today, and people's emphasis on civil law has never been as extreme as it is today. China's civil law development is currently facing the period of drafting a Civil Code of China and achieving civil law codification, which is at a critical stage of development. It is believed that after China's civil law achieves codification, this important law will play an even more significant role in all aspects of social life. Civil law teaching is one of the most important courses in legal professional colleges and universities. Whether it is legal professional education in ordinary full-time universities or legal professional education in higher vocational and technical colleges, civil law must be regarded as a fundamental professional course and taught seriously to enable students to fully master the basic principles and various specific rules of civil law. In such a concise textbook, it is extremely difficult to introduce the entire content of civil law. Moreover, due to the author's limited civil law expertise and the constraints of writing time, this textbook is bound to have many errors and omissions. Scholars and experts are requested to identify problems during teaching and provide corrections. It should be noted that, due to the overall design of this textbook series, the "Contract Law" and "Intellectual Property Law" have been specifically written, hence this textbook does not cover the content of "Contract Law" and "Intellectual Property Law."
