Features: Zhang Daqian (1899–1983), also known as Ai, Ji, or Jili, styled Daqian, and styled Daqian Jushi, or simply signed as "Zhuiren Zhang Daqian." Born in 1901, died in 1984, native of Neijiang, Sichuan. Zhang Daqian was influenced and guided by his talented painter mother and his second brother Zhang Shanzixi, who was renowned for painting tigers and styled himself "Tiger Fancier," in his early years. He also studied poetry, calligraphy, and painting under master teachers such as Zeng Nongren and Li Meidian. In addition to copying famous works from past generations, he traveled extensively to famous mountains and rivers, learning from nature itself. Through diligent study, he achieved outstanding artistic accomplishments. In his youth, he was already renowned alongside his second brother Zhang Shanzixi.
