How is scoliosis treated?

Patient's question:

My friend's child, for some unknown reason, has been over a year old and still has knock knees. The friend took the child to the hospital for a thorough examination, but unexpectedly found that the child suffers from vitamin D-dependent rickets. The friend wants to know what to do about vitamin D-dependent rickets.

Doctor's answer:

Children with vitamin D-dependent rickets often begin to experience recurrent bone inflammation around the age of 18. The "O" leg is often the earliest symptom that attracts attention, but mild cases are often overlooked. Most children of normal height, while some affected children may be shorter. Severe cases, such as children around the age of 6, may repeatedly develop typical rickets, characterized by severe skeletal deformities, dwarfism, and intense bone pain. Some children may even be unable to walk due to bone pain.
