Can't see clearly if it's glaucoma?

Patient's question:

I recently found out that my eyes are two, but I don't know why it's scary or what. I often can't see things clearly, sometimes they are very blurry, and then I need to wear glasses. But my vision used to be quite normal. I don't understand what the reason is. How can poor eyesight be glaucoma?

Doctor's answer:

The eyes again appearing blurry is not necessarily glaucoma. It requires careful examination to determine if there are myopia or hyperopia. Additionally, a fundus examination should be conducted to check for conditions like retinal bleeding. It is essential to undergo a thorough eye examination to identify the cause of the blurry vision. In necessary cases, further tests should be performed, such as checking for elevated intraocular pressure, as glaucoma can often lead to high eye pressure and eye pain.
