Features: This book is a concise and comprehensive vocabulary review guide for postgraduate entrance exams. Its purpose is to help candidates master fundamental vocabulary while focusing on key, challenging, and easily confused words. The over 2,000 entries included in the book are the key and challenging words that candidates need to prioritize. The content under "Active Learning" and "Active Application" essentially covers all the vocabulary candidates need to master. Additionally, the over 400 words added to the 2005 syllabus are presented as entries and are tested through the "100-Question Test for Newly Added Words in the 2005 Syllabus" in the book. The 2006 syllabus and the 2007 syllabus did not introduce any new words. The principle behind the book's compilation is to be precise, comprehensive, and selective. Although the syllabus requires candidates to master 5,500 words, based on the author's years of experience in postgraduate entrance exam tutoring, the vocabulary that constitutes candidates' comprehension barriers does not exceed 2,000 words. Therefore, we have carefully selected high-difficulty, key, low-frequency (words with meanings listed later and low occurrence frequency), and words with particularly challenging meanings from the syllabus as the main entries in this book. On this foundation, we strive to incorporate potentially relevant out-of-syllabus words and words from the CET-6 level that are not included in the postgraduate entrance exam syllabus.
