Features: It is a very interesting phenomenon that in a market economy, it is precisely those flower festivals that change their concepts for profit, by catering to the social need for ethnic traditional art forms, that have allowed the art of flower festivals to survive. It is because of their existence that the past traditions can be appreciated by modern people. I worked on this book for nine years, the hardships of which are hard to describe to others! However, through this purifying process, I have grown from a blind academic youth into a folklorist with corresponding professional knowledge, firm academic beliefs, and academic pursuits. Looking back on the path I have walked, Miaofeng Mountain seems to be the sacred mountain destined for me to climb and worship. Only by reaching there and fulfilling my responsibilities can I achieve the maturity and self-awareness I have today. During the research process of this project, I formed a deep friendship with the staff of the former Miaofeng Mountain Township Government and the Miaofeng Mountain Scenic Area Management Office. Comrade Wang Liyu, then Director of the Scenic Area Management Office, based on his support for the study of Miaofeng Mountain's folk culture, proactively expressed his willingness to provide financial assistance upon the completion and publication of the research. My research progress was very slow, during which time Comrade Wang Liyu was transferred out of the Miaofeng Mountain Scenic Area.
