Features: This book is divided into two volumes, containing five parts of content. The first volume includes the first two parts, primarily introducing object-oriented (including procedural) programming. The second volume includes the last three parts. It focuses on the analysis, design, and development of visual software based on object-oriented and message-sending mechanisms, selecting the C++ language and using the Borland C++Builder development environment for example development.
The third part of the second volume is on the basics of software engineering, mainly introducing fundamental concepts of software engineering, the software development process, software project management, the modeling language UML, and software modeling, as well as how to conduct software analysis, software design, and software testing.
The fourth part covers the C++Builder integrated development environment, primarily introducing VCL components, component events, event responses, message passing between components, database-based software development, the application of graphics and multimedia, multithreading, and synchronization control of multithreading, dynamic link libraries, software exception handling, and application deployment.
The fifth part is on the HIS example development, using HIS as an example to explain the process of object-oriented software analysis, design, and implementation based on message-sending mechanisms, providing detailed implementation processes and all source code.
The features of this book are to first present "problems," directly address "problems," then abstractly analyze "problems," and finally design and solve "problems," allowing readers to experience the differences and connections between object-oriented and procedural approaches. It showcases the entire process of "producing" software, enhancing systematic thinking and training in abstract problem-solving and analysis.
Through the study of the second volume, readers will gain basic capabilities in developing visual application software. The first volume is suitable as a textbook for C++ programming courses in computer science, software engineering, and other related disciplines. Both volumes are suitable as textbooks for software development foundation courses in computer science and software engineering.
Since the entire book is structured around examples and implementation, it is also very suitable for self-study.
