Features: This book is compiled based on the "Basic Requirements for Physics Experiment Teaching in Universities of Science and Engineering for Non-Physics Majors" issued by the State Education Commission in 2004, combined with the actual situation of physics experiment equipment. It is written on the basis of summarizing years of teaching experience. The book contains a total of 36 experiments. The introduction mainly introduces the characteristics of physics experiments, the status and role of physics experiments, the objectives and tasks of physics experiment courses, and the basic program requirements for physics experiments. It also provides the scoring standards for evaluating physics experiment performance. The second part selects 19 basic experiments. The third part selects 4 basic food usage experiments. The fourth part selects 13 comprehensive and design-oriented experiments related to mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics. The appendix introduces the world's ten classic physics experiments, the Nobel Prize in Physics and physics experiments, the legal metrological units of the People's Republic of China, and the International System of Units. It also provides commonly used physical parameters for reference. This book focuses on expanding knowledge, strengthening the combination of theory and practice, and improving students' innovative abilities. It can be used as a textbook for physics experiment courses in universities and colleges for various majors, as well as a reference book for experimental workers in the field of physics.
