Features: As part of the reform of teaching content and systems for the 21st-century mechanics series courses, this textbook further analyzes and studies the teaching content and curriculum system of the original Engineering Mechanics course. On the premise of ensuring fundamental knowledge, some overly difficult and advanced content has been removed, making it suitable for majors offering fewer credit hours in Engineering Mechanics, as well as for vocational, adult education, and other professional Engineering Mechanics textbooks. Based on the requirements of mechanical quality education, this textbook places greater emphasis on fundamental concepts rather than complex theoretical derivations or tedious mathematical operations. Compared to previous similar textbooks, this one has a lower difficulty level, stronger engineering concepts, and introduces a large number of engineering examples covering a wide range of fields, along with engineering-related problems and exercises. To help students master the basic knowledge more quickly and thoroughly, improvements have been made in the presentation of concepts and principles. On one hand, detailed discussions and analyses are provided on problem identification, analysis, and solution; on the other hand, numerous examples are included to deepen students' understanding and mastery of the fundamental content. To assist readers in review and self-study, a "Learning Guide and Problem-Solving Manual for Engineering Mechanics" teaching software CD-ROM has been specially developed and released alongside the second edition. To enhance teaching effectiveness, the authors have also compiled a multimedia classroom teaching software CD-ROM for instructors specifically for this textbook.
