Features: With the development of open-source initiatives, an increasing number of software vendors have opened their product source codes to varying degrees. Following this trend, Sun Microsystems finally opened the source code of Solaris 10, offering the stable Solaris OS to users for free. Solaris 10 is a multi-user, multi-tasking, and multi-threaded operating system developed and sold by Sun Microsystems, serving as a specific implementation of the UNIX operating system. From the perspective of a system administrator, this book introduces six major parts of the Solaris 10 system: installation, system components, security, device management, networking, service catalog, and applications. The author provides as detailed a description as possible of Solaris-related concepts, functions, and commands, with a focus on many new features of Solaris 10. Since the author works in the field of network security, a significant portion of the book is dedicated to discussing system security, which is a primary concern for system administrators. .. Solaris 10 Complete Reference is a relatively comprehensive practical book and an ideal reference for system administrators. ..
