Nurturing Series -- About Love, About Medicine

Author: Zhu Jing
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-01-01
Features: This short story collection narrates various stories set in and outside of school, intertwining the past and present. It captures the innocence of young girls, the love between teachers and students, and truly documents the growth journey of her and her peers. The women in the book, whether lost in books in small tea houses near the campus, chatting online, making phone calls, or sunbathing, all exude the spiritual essence of the Jiangnan water towns, with their unique and independent leisurely lifestyles. Sip fragrant tea, savor the stories—each gathering and parting reflects youthful insights, while each love story transcends time, delicate, fresh, and cleverly vivid. I am delighted to read such passion in her novels. I have always held a stubborn belief that passion for writing is more important than talent. Some people write novels that seem quite good, yet their works show no trace of passion. Zhu Jing fluently tells her own stories, and writing is clearly a way for her to express her emotions. She loves this act of storytelling and expression. In other words, because of her passion, I believe she would still write and become a great writer even without the support of publishing houses or the praise of readers.
