Publishing Date: 2007-02-01
Features: This book emphasizes national conditions and focuses on practicality, aiming to be both scholarly and richly illustrated. It also reflects, from a certain perspective, the overall process of radiology in China progressing towards medical imaging. The book provides a comprehensive introduction to X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine diagnostics for various pediatric system diseases. It addresses many difficult problems in clinical pediatric imaging practice, demonstrating strong practicality, professionalism, and timeliness, making it an excellent specialized book on pediatric imaging. This book was decided upon during the first full meeting of the Pediatric Radiology Group in 1989, with the goal of using the spirit of a "gathering of talents" to present the authors' best work. It strives to contribute the accumulated experience, insights, and image materials of the authors/their institutions in a scholarly and illustrated manner.
Of course, as a developing country, it is unrealistic to expect domestic institutions to match the imaging equipment of advanced countries in a short period. Moreover, various imaging diagnostic techniques still have their own strengths and weaknesses and cannot be entirely replaced by one another. Therefore, this book faces reality and focuses on practicality, emphasizing broadening perspectives, enhancing understanding, and solving practical problems. It aims to meet the learning needs of medical staff in pediatric hospitals, women and children's hospitals, and general hospitals' radiology departments across various regions and levels. It is also intended for medical staff in pediatric internal medicine, pediatric surgery, child health care, and related departments, as well as graduate and undergraduate students in medical schools for reference.
