How to deal with a baby's cold and cough

Patient's question:

The baby has a cold with clear nasal discharge and coughing. Coughing occurs during the day but is worse at night when sleeping. The cough feels like it's about to vomit. The buttock injections were given for two days but there has been no improvement. Currently, the cough is still worse at night, and there is phlegm in the throat.

Doctor's answer:

Possible bronchitis. It is recommended to have further chest X-ray or fluoroscopy examination. Azithromycin or Cefaclor capsules can be taken for treatment. In severe cases, intravenous antibiotics can be used for treatment. If the sputum is thick, Mucosolvan or Compound Licorice Oral Solution can be taken, and it is recommended to drink plenty of warm water. Alternatively, it can be combined with inhalation therapy.
