Features: The issue of government integrity has become a major and practical concern for all sectors of society. This book starts with the concept of "government integrity," which holds common significance, and focuses on the theme of "Building Government Integrity in Contemporary China." The introduction begins with the reality of building a moderately prosperous society, which calls for integrity construction, and primarily clarifies the contemporary value and domestic and international status of government integrity research. The six chapters of the main text are divided into three modules: Theoretical Framework (Chapter 1), Reality Analysis (Chapter 2), and Construction Strategies (Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6).
The Theoretical Framework section starts by analyzing the fundamental concepts of government integrity, which hold common significance, and delves into the essence, structure, function, and main historical forms of government integrity, seeking to preliminarily clarify the conceptual outline of government integrity. The Reality Analysis section examines the main manifestations, causes, and challenges of the lack of government integrity in contemporary China from a specific perspective. The Construction Strategies section proposes basic ideas and countermeasures for building government integrity in contemporary China from the perspectives of value concepts, institutional choices, and government-citizen interaction. It also takes the "81890" phenomenon as a case study to explore the experience and prospects of building government integrity in contemporary China for constructing a harmonious socialist society, which is the main focus and conclusion of this book.
