Appreciation of the Book of Songs

Features: This book was originally titled "Appreciation Dictionary of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci" published by Sichuan Cishu Press. The appreciation section of the Book of Songs has now been revised and made into an independent book titled "Appreciation of the Book of Songs." An appreciation dictionary is a new type of reference book that combines knowledge and objectivity with inspiration and subjectivity. Since poetry has no definitive interpretation and is polysemous, the same poem can be appreciated from different angles and levels, and the interpretation can vary from person to person. The practice of literary appreciation tells us that the more outstanding a work, the more complex its structure and the more profound its symbolic meaning, which is difficult to fully grasp. Due to space limitations, the appreciation in this book focuses on the most literary "Feng" and "Ya" poems in the Book of Songs, while only a few "Shong" poems, such as "Jifu Zong," are appreciated. The remaining "Shong" poems are included for reference. When readers accept this valuable literary heritage of the Book of Songs and gain some enjoyment from savoring its essence, the compilers' purpose will have been achieved.
