Features: The first edition divided the content of social psychology into five aspects: General Theory, Socialization, Individual Social Psychology, Group Social Psychology, and Branch Social Psychology, and introduced social psychology in five parts accordingly. The revised edition also divides the entire book into five parts for introduction. However, due to the development of modern social psychology, the so-called "Branch Social Psychology" in the first edition has been revised to "Applied Social Psychology." Additionally, in line with current societal focus on psychology, the content of Educational Psychology and Military Psychology has been removed, while Counselor Psychology, Health Psychology, and Community Mental Health have been added.
In general, the introduction of most books on this subject covers the research nature, objects, research methods, and development history of the discipline. We have continued to adopt the theoretical framework of the first edition's introduction while removing the content on the tasks of social psychology from Chapter . Furthermore, the content of Chapter 3 has been expanded—it not only reviews the history but also provides readers with an outlook on the future development of social psychology, thereby reflecting the tasks of social psychology through this prospect. In terms of content elaboration and arrangement, minor adjustments have been made throughout to ensure clarity and conciseness.
