Features: In the 1920s and 1930s of this century, China experienced a rural construction movement. Academic groups and educational institutions participating in this movement reached over 600, and more than 1,000 experimental areas were established. However, for various reasons, except for the rural construction experiments in Zouhou and Ding County mentioned in the studies of Liang Shuming and Yan Yangchu, the entire rural construction movement has lacked systematic and comprehensive research by domestic and international academia. This book is currently the first academic monograph in both China and abroad that provides a systematic and comprehensive study of the rural construction movement during the Republican era.
