Features: From the age of twelve, I lived outside for nearly forty-five years before realizing that our county was truly too small. However, no matter where I go, I am proud of it—it should be small, exquisite, and well-organized, strong. It is simply too beautiful, so for the next few decades, wherever I went, I always thought my hometown was the best. Originally, I thought it might just be my own bias. Recently, I heard the elderly New Zealander Ailí say, “China has two beautiful small towns, Fenghuang in Hunan and Changting in Fujian.” Speaking as an old friend who has lived in China for nearly sixty years, I am truly grateful and happy to hear this.
