Suddenly, cartoonist Niugge visited him, placing his hand on my back and saying, "Old man, I've recently been helping a friend edit the of the Taipei Gonglun Daily. Seeing how pitiful you are, I've come to help. Write 500 words a day to avoid starving to death." I replied, "Saving a life is saving a life; if you're going to write daily, write 1,000 words instead. 500 words won't earn you much, will it?" He readily agreed. At the time, I was overjoyed and wanted to treat him to fragrant cakes and hot tea, but he was already sweating profusely. Since I couldn't bear the honor, I had to leave in a hurry. From then on, Baoyang began writing and named it "West Window Notes."
The West Window is different from the East Window, South Window, or North Window. — He wrote one article a day, quite enthusiastically. This book includes five major parts: West Window Notes, The Foolish Are Wiser, The More You Help, The More You Complicate, Spontaneous Thoughts, and Refusing to Admit Mistakes.
