Features: The "Experimental Art Series" focuses on the spirit of exploration, experimentation, and innovation that has been prevalent in world art since the 20th century (especially after 1960). Through the publication of works, essays, reviews, biographies, interviews, etc., it showcases experimental achievements in various fields such as fine arts, literature, film, theater, music, architecture, and photography, while also presenting the social and cultural contexts that gave rise to these achievements. The series has been published intermittently since 1992, aiming to provide textual references and theoretical research opportunities for contemporary Chinese art workers.
Do we still need to repeat the basic tenets of "New Novel"? The author's perspective is proposed under changing conditions, while the critic's theories remain fixed, resulting in an increasing distance from the work itself. In the explorations of the 1970s, the "objective novelist" Robbe-Grillet seemed less enthusiastic about coldly observing the periphery of objects. He was driving away various kinds of ghosts that could never be defeated, continuously engaging in unrestrained narration, and the complexity of his work grew increasingly intricate.
