Features: The term "inventory" in this series of books is akin to a merchant striking the abacus at year-end—smiling broadly with profits, frowning deeply with losses. However, this series of books addresses the "inventory" of the global economy, which naturally involves gains and losses, rises and declines, and the laws of prosperity and decline. Yet, it is far from being as simple as this. The complexity lies in two aspects. First, the "inventory" of the global economy is vastly different from the scale of a single business, even if that business is extraordinarily large. The economic development levels, systems, and natural environments of different countries vary greatly, making it impossible to "inventory" them clearly with just one abacus. Second, the "inventory" of the global economy often intertwines gains and losses—gains are mixed with losses, and losses are mixed with gains. It cannot be simply explained with the words "gains and losses." Even if the gains and losses of the "inventory" are clarified, it is still necessary to meticulously analyze where the gains lie and where the losses stem from, with the aim of providing lessons or insights for the healthy development of the global economy in the new century. These two complexities are precisely the purpose of launching this series of books and the fundamental requirements for its writing.
