It serves as a test of our ability to grasp the laws of color modeling and master the techniques of color expression. In recent years, major art colleges in China have adopted still-life color memory drawing as the examination method for color tests during their enrollment exams, aiming to assess whether candidates can create color models and color compositions based on imagination, memory, and the artistic principles of color. In short, it examines the creative ability of candidates in color modeling. Most of the color works in this book were created several years ago when I was invited to teach color classes at the art department of Nanjing University of the Arts Affiliated High School as a demonstration for students' still-life color memory drawing.
