Features: Introduction With the continuous deepening of reform and opening up and the increasing expansion of international exchanges, more and more people in China are exposed to foreign languages in their daily lives, and English remains the most frequently used foreign language. This dictionary is a practical and concise English-Chinese situational classification dictionary, structured around 60 daily-life scenarios closely related to people. It includes over 16,000 common and frequently used words, such as newly emerging terms in recent years and some specific words that are difficult to find in general English learning reference books. For ease of use, an International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) is provided after each entry. To facilitate the use of foreigners, we have also included the Pinyin romanization of each Chinese term. This dictionary is primarily intended for foreign affairs personnel in government agencies, enterprises, and institutions, service industry professionals, foreign residents living and working in China, as well as teaching workers, English learning enthusiasts, and students in middle and high schools. During the compilation of this dictionary, we received significant support from the Foreign Language Department of Fudan University. We sincerely express our gratitude here.
