Features: Among campus novels, I am particularly fond of stories set in high school life. And the ages of seventeen and eighteen are the ones I favor most. Perhaps it's because I myself experienced a lot of emotions during those years. In that troublesome teenage phase, there's a struggle for growth; not being an adult, nor a child, you endure transformation within a cocoon, living a confused and in-between life, making it hard to define who you are. But it was also an age full of boundless imagination and creativity. Thinking back now, it's actually the initial ideas for the works I publish today that originated from my past daydreams. Every bit of emotion, every mood, or even small story ideas that weren't quite stories became deeply etched in my memory.
I've written over twenty novels. Have you noticed how often I describe the sunset in my works? I spent three years watching the sunset in "Luzhong"! That's why I always try my best to depict the various aspects of the sunset, and through the heroine's perspective, I express my own reflections. Over the years in Taichung, I often sit on the large lawn of the museum, looking at the sunset through the willow trees. It's truly beautiful—the sunset has always given me the deepest emotions.
