Features: Feminism is to womanism as lavender purple is to lavender. — American writer Alice Walker pointed out this sentence at the beginning of her essays, also highlighting the subtle essence of the relationship between women and feminism. The city where I currently live, Oakland, has lavender as a common garden plant. When spring arrives, vast purple mists swirl around, and I have come to understand its nature, no longer just seeing it as a small spice for brewing tea or scenting wardrobes. In other words, without the living purple, lavender would be a dull concept. Similarly, womanhood is a woman's nature, the embodiment of feminism's survival. Lavender has moist purple to be vibrant, and abstractly discussing feminist theory is like losing the purple of lavender, making it tasteless. The author's focus is not on explaining theories but rather on the emotional and cognitive understanding of the female perspective, making it interesting and resonant to read. It's like stepping into a misty lavender field, fresh and lively, close to nature. It's not just a journey of discovering, remembering, and analyzing images, but also a communication of shared joy and sorrow with the author, as we encounter sentences like these in her book: "And the platform is not the end for a woman's departure or return"; "Perhaps hardship is not the cradle of love; love needs a greenhouse and flowers. In hardship, the less likable side of human nature may be exposed more. Love may make people emotionally rough, irritable, indifferent, and tired of each other." — Such profound insights are, I believe, the greatest feature of her book. Women explore the secrets of their bodies through mirrors. The graceful female body blooms quietly before the mirror. She must first recognize herself before she can recognize the world. Women must give themselves a chance for a different life. She does not know how many stops there will be on her journey. And the platform is not the end for a woman's departure or return. The back of an angel is a devil, and innocence's opposite is sin. Women are particularly so. When I see these powerful female counterparts who can stir up storms, I can't help but like them, as if heaven has granted them such a right. Their journey is still long, so why should they be shadowed in their hearts by just one or two men?
